Vanessa Ali understands the challenging times we are living in and she brings the combination of problem solving, decision making, community collaborations and leadership.  Vanessa Ali is best known as a dedicated civil servant in Montgomery County.

Vanessa has worked tirelessly to provide meaningful employment to hundreds of unemployed and underemployed residents of Maryland. Among her many accomplishments, Vanessa was honored with the 2009 “Community Leadership” award by the Maryland Legislative Black Caucas.  She was also selected by the U.S. Small Business Administration as one of the “Women in Business, Champion of the Year Award” in 2005. 

The closing of corporations and the loss of jobs due to this stagnant economy are glaring examples of how hard Maryland has been hit during the economic downturn.

This is why Vanessa will fight to get people back to work by creating jobs and strengthening our economy. On her first day in office, Vanessa will lean on her experience as an entrepreneur working in the personnel industry to develop, save, attract and create new jobs in Maryland.
